Available in multiple configurations, glass options and grid patterns, they can be customized to complement both traditional and contemporary Southwest Florida homes.

When properly selected and professionally installed, impact French doors can also help improve storm protection, security and everyday comfort.

Benefits of SWINGING FRENCH DOORS

Swinging French doors create a wide, welcoming opening that makes it easier to move between your home and outdoor areas. Their expansive glass panels allow more daylight into your living space while maintaining a refined architectural appearance.

They are an excellent choice for patios, lanais, balconies, home offices and larger entryways. During gatherings, both panels can be opened to improve traffic flow and create a stronger connection between indoor and outdoor entertaining areas.

PGT notes that French patio doors can help merge interior and exterior spaces, while glass swing doors can also be useful for offices and studies where visibility and separation are both important.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with Top Choice was exceptional. The sales and office support staff were clear and direct. We did have an issue when one of our doors arrived and was not to the order specifications. They immediately placed another order to replace the incorrect one that was sent. Jason the installer went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He sent pictures and communicated in a timely manner since we were not on site during one of the installations. He was a true professional and his work is second to none. We would definitely choose to work with Top Choice in the future!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica Pope, Permitting Supervisor with Top Choice Windows & Doors in Bonita Springs, FL. She told me she would come last evening and help put a PGT large lower window back into its track. I was so relieved. I didn't want to be without that window in its place during the night. When she arrived it was after 9pm she had her beautiful 7 year old daughter with her and they were both tired. That didn't dampen her spirit to help me. She took off the broken spiral balances, the torsion rods and the balance strings from 2 windows and had to move the pivot shoes as well (not sure if this wording is completely accurate in my words but something like this). She wanted to be sure that I had both windows secure and locked before she left. I am having new blinds installed at the end of the week. I am most grateful to her for helping me. Jessica was so willing to help me without expecting a reward, and deserves recognition and appreciation. I highly recommend Top Choice Windows & Doors. THANK YOU SO MUCH JESSICA!

Single-Hung Window FAQ

What are swinging French doors?

Swinging French doors are hinged doors featuring large glass panels. They may be installed as a single door or as a double-door configuration that opens from the center.

Are swinging French doors suitable for patios and lanais?

Yes. Their wide opening and attractive glass design make them an excellent choice for patios, lanais, balconies, pool areas and other outdoor living spaces.

Are French doors suitable for entertaining?

Yes. Opening both panels creates a wider passage between indoor and outdoor areas, making them especially convenient for gatherings and high-traffic spaces

Can French doors provide hurricane protection?

Impact-rated French doors are engineered to help protect openings from strong winds and windborne debris. Product approval and performance specifications vary by model and configuration.

How secure are impact French doors?

Depending on the selected model, French doors may include durable framing, impact-resistant glass and multi-point locking systems designed to improve security.

Do swinging French doors open inward or outward?

The opening direction depends on the selected door and application. PGT notes that exterior French doors typically open outward, while interior swinging doors generally open toward the home’s interior.

Will French doors affect furniture placement?

Because the panels require clearance to swing, furniture placement and walking paths should be considered before installation. Our team can help determine the appropriate configuration for your room.

Are energy-efficient glass options available?

Yes. Available energy-efficient glass packages may provide better insulation, reduce unwanted heat transfer and improve indoor comfort

Can I customize the appearance of my French doors?

Yes. Depending on the product, you may be able to select different frame finishes, glass options, grid patterns, hardware and door configurations.
